Harimau Malaya : Malaysia 2 Hong Kong 0

Looks like our Harimau Malaya are keeping with the momentum of the post Suzuki Cup but winning their 1st international friendly match against Hong Kong which was player on the 9th of Feb at the Shah Alam Stadium. The 2-0 scoreline was thanks to goals by Safiq Rahim (Captain) and Mohd Amirulhadi Zainal.

The friendly was a warm-up match for the national team ahead of their preparations for the pre-World Cup campaign (Asian qualifiers) in June.

It was a decent win and im sure that coach RajaGopal is using this opportunity to test out formations and players in the national line-up as well.  Its good that the team is playing some good football and it sure looks like our standards are on the rise. Sincerely hope that things get way better than it already is because i honestly beleive we have the talent both on and off the field.

After all the years of bickering about our national team, i feel the time is now that we support them and hopefully spur them on to greater heights.
