Maxis Launches Multiple-Play Service
Maxis has officially launched the first multiple-play service in Malaysia with its Maxis Home Services. The service is available to customers in fiber connected areas nationwide.
What that means?
Users can now choose multiple-play service where they have the freedom to choose the rich content and services that they want, in the formats of their choice and be able to view these through multiple screens, be it their computers, tablets or mobile phones, at a time and place convenient to them.
Maxis signed a landmark agreement with TM for their HSBB Access service last December. Which will expand their broadband footprint together with Maxis’ own Fibre-to-the-Home (FTTH) built out areas. This is very cool!
I remember back in the day when i saw these blue plastic sticks popping out of the streets which meant that there were fiber optic cables running under the curb. I had a uncle who was living in a condo which was covered in the area and he had the whole suite of a phone line, internet and cable tv. Yes you heard me right, astro but cable tv! But that got suspended but i suppose its a different ball game now.
This is way cooler, you have options with these packages and the power to choose the kind of content you want in your home!
If you are interested, you can register your interest at maxis.com.my/broadband. Maxis will contact you once the service is ready. Alternatively, customers can also contact 1 800 82 1123 for further queries.
Customers who sign-up for any of the High Speed Internet plans from now until 30 June 2011 will stand a chance to win full HD TVs.
